Well Visits & Vaccines

Following is the schedule for wellness visits with accompanying vaccines and screening exams.  All of our vaccines are thimerisol (mercury) free.  Blood work will be conducted at a Quest Diagnostic Center, Methodist, Beth Isreal, or NYU hospital.  Please feel free to click on any wellness visit for some answers to common questions.  Also, click on the individual vaccines to obtain the vaccine information sheets.

The inactivated intra-muscular flu vaccine is administered annually to all high risk patients.  This includes all children ages six months to two years as well as children with chronic respiratory or cardiac conditions. The live attenuated flu vaccine (flumist) is strongly encouraged for all patients older than 2 years without underlying risk factors.   

Premier Pediatrics adheres to a vaccine schedule endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The MMR vaccine will not be split.

+ - The DTaP, Polilo, & Hib are given as one injection (Pentacel).  Studies endorsed by the CDC show that reactions to Pentacel are similar to reactions if the three vaccines are given separately.
